First, a little History
In 1989, Kayron Berry started the High Forest Preschool at the High Forest church of Christ in Northport, Alabama. In April 1996, High Forest merged with the Central Church of Christ in neighboring Tuscaloosa. Beginning in September 1996, the Central Dayschool officially opened its doors. Fall 1997 saw the beginning of our first full-day program, and we've been growing ever since!
It's all about our kids!
At Central Dayschool our primary focus is the children. Our teachers work on helping each child develop physically, emotionally, socially and cognitively. We teach a structured curriculum during preschool hours consisting of monthly letters, colors, shapes and bible characters and weekly fun units like bugs, firemen and fairytales. Our children have playtime in centers, arts and crafts, and free play outside everyday (weather permitting).

If you are moving to the Tuscaloosa area, we are the next best thing to Mom! Please feel free to stop by or call with questions any time. You'll find that our tuition prices are very competitive and usually lower than most privately-owned daycare institutions.
Dayschool Sunday
At the end of every school year, our children put on a program called Dayschool Sunday in the auditorium of our church building. Each class performs a variety of songs and bible verses for the congregation followed by the infant class video presentation. The Grand Finale comes as our graduates, adorned in white caps and gowns, file in to 'Pomp and Circumstance', give one last 'farewell' performance and receive their diplomas.
Afterwards, parents are invited to stay for a fellowship hosted by the church. Dayschool Sunday always turns out to be a fun and rewarding evening for parents and children!
